Now mind you, I hate a sniveler ---- but tonite I am sniveling. More than half of the time my pictures don't upload, whether I am in basic blogger or blogger-in-draft ( or as I am wont to say, "in-daft-mode"); my comments fall off or don't even come through; I can't see the pictures that you all so carefully post to your sites. I am feeling alone and bereft --- and snively. I regularly check to see what Blogger is doing --- "working on it, thanks for your patience." Apparently, I am in a subset of "affected" bloggers, who are impatiently patient --- or some such snivelly, drivel.
Oh, my, now I got that off of my chest. Do I feel better? Not really, but maybe I will if I get a comment that stays on my blog --- see a lovely picture of a tombstone -- just to know I blog not alone.
Joan, have you tried using a different browser? I use Firefox almost exclusively but I have used IE and I see a large difference.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your problem solved soon. Computers are wonderful and they can be such a pain. I'd give you a tissue if I could :) Know that you are not blogging to yourself.
ReplyDeleteMy dad used to see about cars, "You can't live with 'em, but you can't live without 'em."
ReplyDeleteI too hope you can get the computer issues resolved!!
I hope your problems get fixed soon. That's not fun. :(
ReplyDeleteI have found better luck with Firefox myself. In the meantime, I'm handing you a cyber tissue.....
ReplyDeleteI echo Mary's thoughts on the browser. I have both Firefox and IE and if one doesn't work I try the other. But you are not alone. When putting together a post the other day the middle section of what I had written just went poof!
ReplyDeleteNo expert here, but, your not being able to see other bloggers photos should have NOTHING to do with your own blogging/posting difficulties. When you are viewing other's blogs are you doing it in Google Reader or via their individual web/blog pages??
ReplyDeleteNow comments?? OUCH, have no idea why that is going on. Hope you can figure it out soon, enough already!
Joan: I can't believe you are still having problems with the photos! I also say to try Firefox if you haven't. I have good luck with it. Oh, and, here's another tissue for you.....
ReplyDeleteTry Firefox, I love it! It fixed a lot of issues I was having on IE.
ReplyDeleteJoan: Enjoy your writing very much. I thought I'd ask if you have tried using Windows Live Writer to compose your blog posts. It offers many nice functions for photos and provides a backup. Maybe your photo upload problems would be solved. (I use Firefox also.) Good luck.

Oh my goodness, how awful! I'm with those who think you may have multiple problems going on here. I too recommend trying a different browser. As a web site designer, I strongly urge you to stay away from Internet Explorer. Personally, I have a lot of problems with Firefox too. My browser of choice? Google Chrome. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI wish you good luck in resolving this. You have my sympathy - at work, I always seem to be on the "bad server."
ReplyDeleteOh, poor you. Have you tried looking at your blog from a different computer, say at the library, or tried posting from elsewhere? You should probably stick wtih the suggestions of those above who know more than me about computers. Wish I could hand you a tissue and give you a hug.

Joan, how sad, and I hope by now everything is resolved. We've all had computer problems, and it isn't fun. Based on some of the recommendation regarding Firefox, I think I might take your friends advice.
